Hearty Beef Stew

Slow cooked beef stew combines seasoned stew meat with beef broth onions, carrots, celery, potatoes, mushrooms, peas and garlic.
Ingredients -
1 Pound Beef Stew Meat (cubed)
1/4 Cup All Purpose Flour
1 Tablespoon Paprika
Salt and Pepper to taste
1-1/2 Tablespoons Teriyaki Sauce
1 Onion (chopped)
3 Carrots (sliced)
1 Celery Stalk (sliced)
2 Potatoes (cubed)
1/2 Pounds Mushrooms (quartered)
2 Cloves Garlic (minced)
1 Bay Leaf
1-1/2 Cups Beef Broth
1/2 Cup Peas
 
Preparation:

1. Place beef stew meat into a slow cooker.

2. In a small bowl, mix together the flour, paprika, salt and pepper.

3. Sprinkle the mixture over the stew meat.

4. Stir to coat.

5. Stir in the rest of the ingredients except the peas.

6. Cover and cook on LOW for 6 hours.

7. Stir occasionally.

8. Add the peas in the last hour.

To peel pearl onions, bring a saucepan of water to a boil. Drop onions into the boiling water and boil 3 to 5 minutes, Drain the onions, slice off the root end and give the onion a little squeeze. It will pop right out of its skin.
